I remember an old Australian sparring partner who went by the name of "malaka". No, really, he did.

I spent a long time trying to find common ground with him, even resorting to calling him "my friend" at every given opportunity, but this just seemed to upset him even more. He was convinced I was Turkish, but then he wasn't the only one.

Now you'll tell me that he's still out there, but called something different.

Can't say I'd blame him.

(Incidentally, for those of you not in the know, "malaka" is a Greek word that means "referee".)

Are you going to see your "old flame" when you arrive in Cyprus, or will you be by yourself.?? If you are going to be alone, it might be difficult for you to get around, unless you rent a car, but be prepared to drive on the "wrong side" of the road. I hope some forum members are able to meet with you and show you around a little. With the US Dollar being in the toilet, it's going to cost you few dollars to get to Cyprus, so I hope you will get your money's worth.

Have a good trip.

yes kikapu, i will be seeing my old flame, but only as friends, as he has a new flame in his life, so i will be on my own alot. i have another thread about my vacation, and didn't get alot of bites on it, so i hope some forum members will make themselves available for a drink or a dinner..... i'll be in Larnarca for the most part.

I don't know about Cypriot men GG. As soon as he sees you again, his other flame is going to be a "bad person". Oh, "she does not understand me as you did GG", "I don't know what I was thinking, when I left you all by yourself in New York GG", "I miss you a lot GG". Before you know, it will be a "double header", and I don't mean the Yankees playing the Mets twice in the same day.!!!
