Where is the money going then (I am basing this on a confusing part in which the report states that numbers are going up but then contradicts it self)……….Black market or the TRNC????And what type of tourist can you now expect?

so why does the hotel industry hire all thesse non-english speaking or foreign people to work for them? why not hire Cypriots? if this is a percieved problem, the solution should be to hire the Cypriots. please explain why they are not hiring your own kind?

cheaper to hire foreigners ...pay them less ...but also the latvians ,polish etc are better at dealling with formal events than the locals ..ie setting the tables

also nearly every cyp wants to manage ... a manager of a 5 star hotel i was at recently told me ..he preferred to hire lativians ,russians etc ..because they could set a table ,waiter,organise and act professionally ..he sacked three cyp waiters after a month two of whom could not even lay a table

this is a sad fact ,sadly i think the truth is you can pay a $25 a day to lativians but a cyp will want 40 ...Hotel owners are greedy ...espcially the sol hotels ....they are disgusting and treat employees like shit ....

Cyprus is less dependent on tourism today than it was in 2001. The economy in general is today much better than it was then, but even in Tourism this year was much better than 2006.

But still you lost money...Where is this money going to???????

there are firms on the south side who provide services to those going north and vice versa .... the isrealis are asking us to build casinos ,so they dont have to go north side as they do not feel safe ..
