Compromises?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I am not the ministry of defense.

If it sounds natural to ask from Cypriots to disarm, why not the Turks also?

Why not the turks also, but all i can say is that guns are bad in homes and in our new cyprus after solution no army or guns in homes should be accepted.

Except hunting guns that are registered and liscenced with the police and local authority(like hunting season, getting a hare or pheasant)

The guns that GCs keep in their homes has caused quite a stir amongst my newspaper reporter friends who couldnt believe what I was saying. Are what our GCs friends saying the truth Ive started to doubt what I have read on this forum or have they made it up because no one seems to be aware of this vast arsenal of arms that GC conceal in their homes.

Did anyone bother to give a number of approximate guns distributed to men who have completed military service from 1974 onwards??? this could be hundreds of thousands, very alarming I seem to recall some said if they were all sold off they could raise 3billion cyp??????

Reporters are going to investigate the truth behind this and if found to be correct are prepared to run the story and inform the TC public.

I have spoken to a few gc friends in the u.k who confirm this is true, they also said its only been quite a few years this practice has been going on but not since 1974 but they also cannot give any numbers on how many but they do say it is nearly all that have been leaving the army in the last years, so you could say almost fifty thousand plus at least, but over the weekend i will talk to a very informed gc friend in cyprus who is a policeman and will probably come up with more concrete information for you hopefully.

Who rattled your cage, its not a matter that they have not been used over the last 2 years its the mentality behind having these guns stashed away in your homes that we visit. Should we buy tanks and rockets and put them in our back gardens???dont worry we will only use them if you attack us.....its a real eye opener for me and many people that I have spoken to, firstly they didnt want to believe what they heard, after the shock they just couldnt understand the mentality behind it.

Viewpoint, we know that you would like us to stay defenseless. Were you planning a third invasion? Well, in this case know that we are now much more prepared and another invasion by you will not be a walk like last time. Was this a shock for you? If you were planing to advance further it should be.

Dont be silly Piratis we have no plans like that, but you have an army as well why cant they take care of the arsenal of guns and amunition and not put these weapons into peoples homes lives and most importantly "GCs minds"

Man you felt you were more than ready in 1974. I hate war and guns maybe thats why it has effected me so much.
