My condolences to you and your lady wife DT. I know you asked for this not to be a matter of debate but I'd like to say a few words.

I just read the Kibris newspaper and apparently there are on indications of trauma to the body that would have caused death, lets give them the benefit of the doubt.

But if truth be told our police force have no interrogation techniques whatsoever, all they know is to beat the truth out of suspects. They are ruthless bastards and they are very capable of this crime. Fucking scumbags.

Oh Dear DT.

I am so sorry you and your family are having to suffer this painful loss.

My sincerest hopes that you may find some way to get through this, one of life's worst experiences. :(

You have every reason to be so proud of your Father-in Law.

Warmest wishes to you all.

S.

My condolences, but i often wonder why, knowing what we do, and as stated above so well by MR-from-NG (not quite sure what a name that is?) why people go over to the other side and expect everything to be ok with the police. You never know what might happen, but personally id rather stay over here and not risk causing any trouble. Please dont take that the wrong way, but i do think that he would have been fine had he been over on his side. May he rest in peace

Just cut the racisist stupid comments at this moment. Our police are just as capable ... remember the two GC students beaten almost to death last Xmas by eight(!) policemen?

everyone PLEASE
show some respect to the wish of the family and not turn this threat into a debate...
I am sure DT,as a family member will inform the forum at a later date about what really happened...you can all have your debate then.

I know a black boy who was arrested in the south with cannabis, I know it doesn't matter if it was just a little bit but they beat him so badly and even put a gun to his head to get him to tell them where he got it from.... :?

I also got smacked about by the police in the north some years ago when we got "ambushed" outside LTL by undercover police. They found a baseball bat in the boot of my friends car and thought we were there to fight

What made it worse was the night before me and my friends had been on TV where we danced live outside 'Extreme' nightclub. We had tried to look "cool" so we all tied our hair with loads of elastic bands. (I was only 16!!!!!!!!!!)

The police didn't find the hairstyle very cool!!!

So they took us to the police station, slapped us a few times and one of them ripped all the elastic bands off my head one by one.

We got let off cos one of them realised they knew my family...then they started to suck up to us. Idiots!

The police in Cyprus are ruthless...furthermore, giving ANY Cypriot the authority to control others is destined to end in disaster....as it has many times in Cyprus already...
