Pyrpolizer, i know some people getting close to 3000 a month in IT industry.
It comes with a "no life" package... you are constantly at work, extreme stress, responsibility... always on call.
Sooner or llater you just give up :)

Savva, welcome to the forum and good luck in the future, judging by the responses you have received and the prospect of having to work such long hours, it looks like you will be on a good thing, you'll not be needing a house, work in your pyjamas and grab a nap on the job mate, SORTED !.

. . . But on a more interesting note . . . Do you know where the term "SALARY" arose?

Well I'll tell you . . . . 8)

Roman soldiers where paid part of their fees with salt (priceless in those days).

The Latin for salt is . . . SAL, hence SALARY.

It's also where the term "worth your weight in salt" comes from (or should that be Gold? . . . hhmmmpp :? )

I currently work long hours in the UK anyway... but the salary seemed very low compared to rates in the UK hence the question.

Having read the replies it seems that 2K is a good salary.
