Postby LENA » Sat Nov 03, 2007 2:01 pm

This thing happen to me 2 times this month and I was thinking of that yesterday and I wonder if its a male thing or British male thing!

The Questions is: What do men do/say when a woman is upset with them after she explain why she is upset with them?

Depends. If it is true that the upsetting was my fault, I say Sorry! If it is not true, I don't say anything and let them get on with it.

To be honest my wife rarely tells me why she is upset .

I used to worry about it years ago because it's not healthy to keep things closed like that and it's much better to get things out in the open and explained.

She's still the same but now I'm getting to old to worry about it ~ some times I can guess but for other times I just let her get on with it ~ it's much easier that way .

Most of her family and friends are the same so I just put it down to being a Cypriot thing ( older Cypriot ) and leave it at that.

This is a very open ended question dear lena.

Depends on many factors, such as if the upset on the womans part is warrented, there maybe a reason the male took such actions to upset her, maybe she doesn't want to understand, why is it always the males fault?

You have heard the saying "Hell haveth no fury like a woman scorned", well perhaps that during the explanation the woman rips his head off and then expects a thank you in return, again, why is it always the man fault.

Yes i agree, men can be pigs, but, it does take two to tango and there are always two sides to every story. Some women can be more understanding, more sensitive, others can be real dragons, sometime the mans reaction depends very much on the womans but she does not choose to see this.

So your question, pre supposes that the man is in the wrong and that the womans upset is because of his wrong doing and not by some mutual misunderstanding.

You obviously do not think that the male can also be upset at the same time and you just consider your own feelings.

I hope this has answered your question?

Pantheman ... WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? Any personal problems with your relationships with the opposite sex?

I never said that women are always right or whatever ... I just asked what men do when a woman explain to them why she is upset with them and men know that she is right, what they do/say to calm her down that min?

I would like to hear women too.

No my dear Lena, that was not your question, you didn't say that the man knew she was right, here is you question.

The Questions is: What do men do/say when a woman is upset with them after she explain why she is upset with them?

Any mention of being right or wrong?

Anyhow, I have no problems thank you.

If i was in a situation like that AND i knew she was right, I would beg forgiveness and allow her to beat the crap out of me.

Does that answer your question ?

Lena unfortunately no-one can answer this. People react differently to each other and may react differently depending on their mood/situation at that time.

Men range from testosterone fulled neanderthals to wimpy nerds and each would of course react in a different way. Women can be easy to forgive or easily hold grudges.

If it was my husband I would hope that he would simply apologise so we could move on. I hate continuing an argument and prefer to move on even if no apology has been made. It doesn't mean things are forgotten but unless the 'event' in question is extreme, life is too short to remain angry!

I hope you sort things out, you seem upset and I wish I could give you an answer but only you can truly know what the next step should be and only when you have calmed down and can think rationally.

Best wishes. :)

Ok this is coming out as something bad now...this was something that made me laugh a lot after i calmed down...in both situations I was upset with two different guys and I was right. I am not like Bill's wife so I made it clear what annoyed me...after finishing what I had to say ... both men apologize but the next thing that came from their mouth was a question...they wanted my permission to walk away and "fix things they have done wrong".

That time made me more upset because I was thinking that they did not ask me to create the whole mess but they ask me if they should move from their position. Probably they were both too scared of me

Both men are British....when something similar happened with Cypriot men they usually go and do it or fix it or they approach you and calm you down with one way or the other...they just do not ask permission to breath.

Really the whole thing made me laugh a lot after i was calm. Sorry for the misunderstandings.

Niki mou, you are a star. Yes you are right people react differently depending on lots of things. Its what i believe too but it was so funny happening in less that a months period and coming from British men.

And I totally agree with you...life is too short to remain angry! :D

Perhaps this little ditty might help :-

Women may have many faults,
Men have only two,
Everything they say,
And everything they do!!
