Some years back, I was on a bus listening to two gentlemen, a Greek and a Turk, arguing about Cyprus. To break the impasse, I asked: "Don't you both eat the same food, especially stuffed grape leaves?" Both grinned and forgot the argument as we discussed the merits of stuffed vegetables.
Politics divides people. Food unites them.

It's true, actually. We need tons of foods for reunification. It would be excellent to organize massive "food for reunification" parties for Cypriots with tons of dolmas, souvlas, doners, pilavs, magarina bullis, badadez bullez etc.
