No such luck, I was commenting on the rare angelic theme, even if people are already registering complaints on the thread

You must admit though... if there's ever a way to express... "I just died" on a forum it would have to be that!

Good luck for the future to you and your family.

Thanks Eliko and welcome back to you (even though you're just about to leave us again!)

Yes GR the food is so good. My friends who have just left after a week here just loved the food. In fact it's too good - and the wine is cheap, my waistline is suffering (is that a complaint?)!

Get Real don't forget to wear your GSM armband that will automatically post your "I am now dead" message when the inevitable will happen. ;)

At last all my moaning about devil's subversions have paid off . . . Well done Niki . . . truly inspired. :D

Now are we limited to only one post each with our faves . . . or can we keep coming back and adding as the mood takes us?

Well here goes for now . . . (unless I'm banned from further posts).

I adore the donkeys they are the best in the world. The goats daintily scouring slopes, lizards running up walls,

I love the fact that the sea is not shark infested and I can swim out into the horizon and come back in one piece hours later!

I could eat Geroskipou dry of rose and almond loukoumia. Regular zaharoblastia stops for water and cakes.

I love the memories of buying fish from fisherman at Latchi Harbour . . . and adore the restaurants surrounding it now.

I love prickly pears growing by the sides of the road, free food! Visiting the fig tree every day for newly-ripened figs.

I love going for a peripato after dinner, the village weddings with hundreds of loose relatives, church bells, smell of incense in the church, fast-talking locals, slow talking locals, old men reclining on wooden chairs drinking coffee and observing the world, blue skies, amazing thunderstorms.

The Troodos for treks, the Akamas for secret coves and bays. The olive skinned men 8)

And most of all I love the fact that Cyprus has so much potential to become even greater (by ~ 40% ) when the Turkish Army leave . . . .

I'll go along with you for all that I've quoted. I missed out the first and last sentences, though as the first is negative and the last is political.

I'd love to meet your 'loose' relatives Phoenix.
Its true though, whatever corner of Cyprus you go, you come across plenty 'distant relatives' and its murder trying to avoid their welcoming hospitality whether GC or TC.

Great, I love that we seem to be having more in common after coming to blows on all that we differ! :D

But devil, tell me, am I being sexist for assuming your gender is male? It's cool if you like olive-skinned men too, no worries 8)
