How can you claim to be a Hellenist if your main idea is that churches which are works of art should
be toilets and pissing places?

This is what the rich Hellenistic culture has taught you so far?

I do not like this crimes of bud art and I do not have to, Alexander the great in Persia
when he was Drank after an orgy he put fire in a temple. And it’s not so anti-Greek to piss on Judaist temple.

I wouldn’t do that but I just want to show how much disgusted I’m from all this.

YOU ARE A SATANIST ... OR YOU ARE A ONE OF THOSE PRICKS TRYING TO RESURRECT THE GODS OF ANCIENT GREECE ...

MAN you seem confused

you will vote for who then ,.... ?

If I was a Satanist my choice would be Papadopoulos for sure. But of course you were going to be a more
destructfull choice and if it was a choice maybe you are even better than him.

The Persian temple was Zoarastrian, not Jewish. Alexander the Great was also probably manic- depressive, so I am not so sure that you should use an unstable individual as one who sets the bench mark for Hellinism.

Yes it was not Jewish; I didn’t said what it was.

I didn’t said what Hellenism is about pissing on temples

But also the fact that I hate Judaism and I express it loud it can’t contradict with the fact that I’m Hellenist.

And especially in this case were the Christians was cursing the
Greeks for centuries after they burned them of course.

Bro, it can certainly contradict the basic beliefs of human dignity. You have every right to hate whatever you wish to hate, yet every human being shouldnt be grouped with evildoing fanatics that give true believers in any faith a bad name. Since I am not Greek the loss of the ancient Hellenistic ways have no affect on me. I was brought up though as a Armenian Orthodox Christian and even though I dont believe everything I was taught I still see the good of it. I also tend to view every faith as having positive atributes and since I dont belong to them tend to not critisize them. I believe once you left just critising the Greek Orthodox faith and moved on to critising Christiany in general,Islam and Judaism, which I am sure you know very little about, your arguements fell on hollow ground.

It's a shame the Churches are neglected and vandalised...but so are some mosques in the south....and there are Churches in the north that have been preserved and some have been restored. I posted a pic of one some time ago that I took myself.

The selling of the mosaics etc is disgusting and people should be getting locked up! That goes without saying...

However it can't come as that much of a suprise that they're neglected and vandalised. As bad as it is, they've not been used for 40 years and it's mostly children who have grown up around these "deserted" buildings who used to use them to get away from their parents. I used to do the same myself. Theres a deserted Church in my grans village and I remember countless times going in there with a box of matches and playing with fire.

Go into any vandalised Church and you can tell who the culprits are..."I love Mehmet" and similar things are written all over the walls. While it's not a good thing and theres no excuse, when you're a kid you don't know the difference. A deserted Church is no different than a deserted house...and kids love those kinds of things.

Well I did anyways.. :?

:D Well kids are not those that have invaded a country. In addition I am quite aware that the Monastery of Apostolos Andreas is well respected among T/C.

TC, in my travels across free Cyprus, I never came across any neglected or vandalised mosques. Could you please name a couple? I would like to check them out.

I personally challenge anyone to show one case of a Turkish or Moslem artifact taken from the south of Cyprus and sold abroad.

Kids do not take apart churces to sell icons and mosaics. Grown ups do that kind of shit and they make a pile of money out of it.
