shahmaran: You like most Turks are idiots and do not even know your own history. Kemal did not build the nation, the Turkish nationalism was already architected by Akcura, Gokalp, et al. The Young Turks had a contigency plan if the Axis side lost the war. The Nationalist movement was started before Kemal even in the arrived in the East, since the Young Turk contigency plan took effect when the Axis lost WWI. He is just the eternal figurehead of the Turkish state ideology. In the Mass Pschology of Fascism, the author Wilhelm Reich states the Germans viewed Hitler as a father figure.

Kemal is the father of the Turks, the eternal father figure and symbol of the Turkish state and nation. Maybe instead of joining the European Union Turkey can create a Union with other fascist and muslim states and worship eternal fathers, ban published criticisms, pretend to be modern and Westernized.

There are other organizations like RSF that examine the persecution of journalists.
