If you are trained properly, you need not get dizzy. You only get dizzy if you allow your awareness to dissipate. While the speed with which you turn is gradually increased your concentration is focused at only one area. You could try it . Its so easy. Female whirling Dervishes among the Nahsibendi followers of the Mevlevis have been attending semas for quite a while. But I still thank Phoenix to bringing this to our friends attention.
Celalleddin Rumi had called all peoples to his Sema's (whirling dance) whether they were Muslim, Christian and Idolaters. He was a Humanist and everybody was welcomed at his ceremonies to partake.
