Islam, the Greeks and the Scientific Revolution, part 2

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Islam, the Greeks and the Scientific Revolution, part 2

Postby boomerang » Tue Oct 30, 2007 9:25 am

The reason why the Christian West for centuries didn't have easy access to the Classical learning of the Christian East was because Muslims and Jihad had made the Mediterranean unsafe. It has to be the height of absurdity to block access to something and then take credit for transmitting it, yet that is precisely what Arabs do. As stronger states slowly grew up in the West, regular contact with their Eastern cousins was gradually re-established, starting with the Italian city-states. And as soon as direct contact was established, Western Europeans gained access to the original Greco-Roman manuscripts preserved in Constantinople. They didn't need to rely on limited translations in Arabic, which were anyway made from the same Byzantine manuscripts in the first place, and frequently by Christians. Moreover, Muslims have spent more than one thousand years systematically wiping out Greek culture in the Mediterranean region, a process which continues at Cyprus even into the twenty-first century, which makes it patently ridiculous when they now brag about how much we owe them for their efforts at "preserving the Greek heritage." The efforts of Arabs are, in my view, as overrated as those by the Byzantine Empire are underrated.

True, the Byzantine era is totally unknown to the average westerner. They exalt the achievements of the Rennaissance but forget that at the same time the Byzantines had some notable achievements, like the abolition of slavery centuries before the West, it was in 1066 if I recall rightly. England abolished slavery in the early 19th century and the US much later of course!

Wow what Christian bullshits, first of all the Christians have burn more than the 90% of the Greek manuscripts (with the writers and all the Greek people of course). Second the Arabs have saved a biggest percentage of those that accidentally had saved from the lunatics monks in Byzantium that they was keeping for them self’s some forbidden to taught books in the monasteries.

Of course the pro Muslim Arabs have nothing to do with the today Muslims that they are so anti-Greek anti-West as the eastern Christians.

And third the slavery in Byzantium existed in all shapes and the slavery was even worst were all the people become stupid slaves of the lunatic Jew god and his lunatic agents and they lost even the right of free thinking were there was not much of a benefit from the past years except on theory and religion. Slavery is a human truth of all times and even today in the most evolved democracy of all times in USA there are people that can be considered as slaves and this can’t be ended if some lunatic just convince the uneducated stupid people what they are not and what this can be change just by a belief that in fact it slaves them even more.

No I’m not a racist in any way (like the Christians are), but I’m anti Judaist.
Like, I’m also agnostic and anti-Gnostic and anti-Plato.

How could I be anti-Semite with Froyd for example?

The difference is what the one is a culture presented by ideologies and the second is the race it self.

Does Spinoza, Einstain and Otto Vinegger and other anti-Judaist Semites were anti-Semites?

Anti-Judaism has been called "a total or partial opposition to Judaism—and to Jews as adherents of it—by men who accept a competing system of beliefs and practices and consider certain genuine Judaic beliefs and practices as inferior."[1] Christian anti-Judaism is a Christian theological position in opposition to Jewish belief and practice

This is just for the lunatic Christians that must be in some lunatic house.

I have every right to be anti-Judaist with out be a racist like I have the rights to be an anticommunist and anti-capitalist; it’s a specific ideology and a specific way of living. And it’s a an ideology that looks like Plato bullshits that’s why I’m also anti-Plato antichristian anti Muslim and generally anti-lunatic in every shape and form. Can you understand this pathetic Christian boy?

Of course you don’t because the eastern Christians that there is still anti-Semites believes in the curse of the Jew race and in theological terms (with out reason and logic arguments) their sickness is expanded to the Jew race in the total.

This article doesnt mention the fact that it was the Christian West who destroyed much of Constantinople and led to much of Byzantium's downfull during the first Crusade.

If this is your vision of slavery then it happens big time in the muslim states dont you agree.?

I also dont understand why this article confuses Arabs with Turks. Its Turks who have destroyed much of the evidence of Greek culture around the middle east - either that or use it to advertise their own tourist board lol.
