Last night the queue at the Metahan crossing went all the way back to the Coca Cola factory - but it's got to be done.... it would be appalling for everybody if it did turn out to be F&M.

VP, in case you haven't realised it yet, apart from a few tens of graphic individuals -most of which are low life addicted gamblers or mafia; GCs have stopped crossing into the north because no one in his right senses likes to be in the mercy of an occupational army of a fascist regime such as the Turkish one! Most GCs I know and speak with, all say that they will visit the occupied north again only as liberators or when the place will be liberated from the over-seas foreign neo-ottoman onslaught! Consequently, the only people you are essentially “disinfecting” are the thousands of TCs that cross south every day, either to work, to do shopping or to receive health care from the hands of the “contaminated” GCs!

Dear drunkard low life English fellow, can you tell us why do you have to cross every day into the south, and be among the "contaminated" GCs? Why don’t you stay in the occupied north, with your wife, sons and daughters, to better “serve” the 40,000 Mehmetcik in their daily “needs?”

... a few tens of graphic individuals ... etc

You have proof for this, I take it. Can we see it?

P.S. What in heaven is a graphic individual?

Oh, you know very well what I am talking about! It is what you English would call a strange, weird, bizarre or eccentric individual! Am I not allowed to enrich the English language with an extra meaning?

So, all these "graphical types" that go to the north not as liberators but to quench their human weaknesses, are asked to step onto a carpet that has been soaked in a foul-smelling chemical that will curtail food and mouth and keep it in the south. It makes sense since graphic individuals are more prone to be carriers of the dreaded disease.

Then again, I thing the Turks are thinking on the lines of pay back time. Remember what the Turkish Cypriots had to endure when avian flu appeared in Turkey? Now, birds fly, cattle walk and this can be understood even by graphic individuals who may even leak the chemical on the carpet rather than put in jeopardy their excursion to the north.

What an infantile way to look at understandable ways to eliminate the spread of a disease

Are TCs really into policy making via tit-for-tat?

You have a very low opinion of them!
