Your point is?
Be sure I'm NOT laughing now. I don't need a list of all your knowledge. Thank you.
If you are not interested on this and cannot help, why don't you go to some other topic instead of posing here... oh, excuse me, you are Cypriot, in that case you can continue.

But please please dont post any tutorials explaining how to record a sound using a Cool Edit pro (which for ages now owned by Adobe and became an Audition)... its just a crime against human logic. :D

Ray, I have used cool edit pro for the last 6 years and has never let me down. The best thing since sliced bread!

He doesn't even need other software Ray, I gave him the answer to the problem ages ago but he's too thick to follow the simple steps!

Start > Control Panel > Sounds & Audio Devices > Audio >
Sound Recording [Volume] > Capture > Stereo Mix [Select]

Get Real! thats a pretty nasty solution, you can mix up input levels (clipping) if you got no idea what you are doing + any incoming sounds will be recorded too... ICQ, MSN, someone signed in, or email... or some whooshes and swishes you all have from too much crap addons on your PCs. So thats not a proper solution.

Man, I'm angry because you, from your second post, consider all others stupids that just got down from trees yesterday and have no clue about what's going on.
The topic starter might have no idea, that doesn't mean we have to make fun of all the people that don't know something and are trying to find a solution, even if it's hard (for them).
Anyway, I'm ok now... positive thinkin' comes when I leave work. :D

For crying out loud, this is for a uni/college ASSIGNMENT where you have to simply RECORD 30 seconds of sound from the Internet!!!

I doubt you are allowed to utilize 3rd party software other than what Windows provides straight out of the box!

Here is how it looks on my xp for recording.

For my Sound Blaster Live sound card, I have set it up selecting What you hear (I remove the tick on Microphone if I record anything), and for the on board SoundMax card, I've never tried it, but I think is the option Wave out mix.

Hope it helps. Is it true that this is for uni/college project? That is what they teach you there? Hmmm.. that's funny. :D
