When I say "perverted" I mean the kind that just CANNOT stop talking/thinking about sex and theres SOOOO MANY of them in Cyprus!!!

Sex is not just for reproduction...compare the amount of times you've used it to reproduce with the amount of times you used it in a "social" manner!!!!!

I'm gay myself but I've been in some VERY uncomfortable situations in the distant past with Cypriots, some were just too distant to be considered normal!!!

The Cypriots are just tooooo sexual. It can be "cute" sometiems but some of them go over the edge.....

Desperate Cypriots - I'll see them all in a new light!

Must be because the Cypriot women aren't allowed out after dark - plus the women on holiday are just after a 'holiday romance' when all morals were left behind in their home country so the men think all women (except Cypriot) are up for it!

 Well now that you know our scandal please spread the word to all the British girls to help out! :(

Mmm - not sure they'd come flocking round the 'desperate Cypriots'!

Cypriot men can help their own situation. If it's the Cypriot men who are causing the problem by keeping their daughters in the house while hypocritically perving at other women maybe they should be more relaxed about letting the daughters out more therefore easing the desperation?

Good idea! Can all the guys let your daughters out tonight please and I'll let mine out the next time... 8)

Yes this is the hypocrisy I’m talking about, the Cypriots have pervert culture how could be possible to have a normal sexuality.

Niki is English, and she has not been in Cyprus long enough to judge!

She comes from a society that is so morally loose, the women get drunk and parade themselves, falling around on the pavements where they are easy pickings for passers by. The rate of single parenthood is the highest in the civilised world. Elderly parents are abandoned, etc ...

I'll stop there because I was not out to criticise the British . . . just bring home to you the fact that on the whole GC men and women bring up law abiding citizens that respect each other and their parents . . . and that is all you could ask of any Human Being.

If they are hot blooded enough, and the climate and relatively stress free lifestyles add to the need for extra canoodling and desires to be satisfied . . . then that is acceptable and appropriate for a normal Human (adult) culture.

Sex and the need for sex, is probably one of the few Human functions that has not altered very much throughout the course of our evolution compared to say, the acquisition of language, writing etc.

And prostitution is one of the oldest professions . . .

Introvert

Yes this ia exactly the word, your ridiculous religion drives you to believe what you are the best that the universe have to offer and you ending up in a disgusting, cryptic, jealous, insecure, insincere and introvert way of thinking and fucking.

Yes absolutely spot on, the way SOME of the girls behave in the UK is appalling - this is why I brought my daughters to Cyprus (although reading this thread makes me concerned for them). However you are generalising just a little!

As you say I haven't been here long enough to judge and as I said I haven't experienced this perverted behaviour myself but I have spoken to many people who are frustrated (their words) by the fact females are so restricted and not given opportunities to meet potential partners often marrying the first man they ever see socially (if their parents approve) which can't be healthy.

Beats me though why the same parents are fine with the men acting so badly. A balance is needed.

A few comments...

Although I share your concerns about many things Niki,Cypriot girls do not in fact marry someone their family chooses any longer and have far more freedom than they ever did before to go out and make friends with who they want etc.The problem is the hypocrisy and double standards here,as well as the ignorance about sex and as a result the number of teenage pregnancies and abortions is much higher than you probably suspect!
What I cannot tolerate is the attitude here that foreign women and especially those who come to work in cabarets etc. are just some kind of objects to be used and exploited and are treated the way a toilet is used!
Everyone of these girls has a mother, father, and often a child etc. just like any Cypriot person and behind their decision to come here usually lies a situation of desperation, misery and often physical abuse......The report in last Sundays Cyprus Mail on page three is typical of their situation and I challenge anybody to justify the way they are treated and exploited!
Every person on this planet was born in the same way and will eventually leave the same way too-maybe if we thought about this truth more we would all behave better towards each other, rather than assume we have the right to consider ourselves superior to someone else?
Anyone in the north knows very well that the circumstances of these girls over there are often far worse than on this side and many are virtual prisoners of the people who buy them like commodities!

The problem is also, that a lot of the cypriot men actually believe that these girls ENJOY being a prostitute!!! Having to have sex with any old smelly person!!! Here in the North you very rarely see them "outside" they have their passports taken and end up owing not just the original cost of the visa etc but thousands more in rent and accomodation. Its a disgusting shame.

Yes Niki it was a generalisation . . . just like this thread seems to be!

However the situations I described for the U.K. are very real and I see signs of them EVERY time I venture into the City Centre.

Your daughters are very lucky to be away from all that, as these habits start from school, as well as the other danger for teenage girls which is again VERY common in our Private school . . . anorexia / bulimia . . . not to mention drug taking.

Limitations to socialising are usually in place for a lot of sensible reasons in Cyprus but I don't know ANY Cypriot girls that have married the first chap they have got to know.

Men and women's responsibilities ARE different and acceptance of this makes for a healthier society.
If by balance you mean the women should go out and exploit sexual encounters too . . . then we are back to what has happened in the U.K.

Curbing the men is probably not healthy either . . and one reason I suspect Cypriot men are a gentler version of macho, may be because they are not frustrated sexually. :D

Try answering this question then?

Postby cymart » Wed Oct 31, 2007 2:55 pm

If it is supposedly o.k. for boys to go and screw around, but not girls, who are they supposed to do it with then?Or is this an excuse for conveniently accepting that certain women are supposed to be whores,as long as it's not our daughter, sister or relative etc?
Another question: even my next door neighbours cat understands that the so called cabaret'artistes' come here to work as prostitutes and not dancers etc. so why don't the authorities just stop issuing visas under this category and close the cabarets down as a result, instead of pretending that they are taking action against prostitution by having occasional raids like they did a couple of weeks ago, having no doubt warned everyone there in advance,or arresting loads of girls in Nicosia and Larnaca like they did last Sunday when they were having their day off from their duties as maids etc.alleging they had been 'touting' for customers in public etc?
Further more,if these girls are really coming to work as 'artistes and dancers' as their visas state, why do they have to have medical checks for Aids etc before they can start work?
Or do people in England who compete in shows like 'come Dancing' also have to take Aids tests first???
