I did this to find out who owned what after my father died and the Paphos Land registry were extremely quick and very helpful.
Wow! Flippin heck you must have had a real lucky day. In my experience they wouldn't even talk to me as the land was in my wifes name, i had to get a document signed by her and veryfied by the muktur of the village before they would consider my application. All i wanted was a search of ajoining properties.
But, hey starnger things have happen, i suppose anything goes in cyprus, just depends who you happen to talk to on the day.

Also helps to use really poor, infantile Greek, then they want to make sure you don't phone them again
