STEPHANIS is the best thing which happened to this crooked PC market...
would you mind explain what happened to you and Stephanis?
Their prices so far are unbeatable, their service is perfect and there is a wide choice (unusual for cyprus) of stuff in their shops. This year I've spent around 2 grand in there... which i guess beats you unless you bought 4 plasma TVs :D

I bought a mobile phone from them which went wrong the second week after I bought it. (No, I didnt drop it or spill coffee on it)
So i took it back to Stephanis and they said they would fix it since it was covered in the quarantee. That was begining of August.

Two months later, after a lot of visits to the shop and a lot of promises from Stephanis's people, I had enough and went to the shop and lashed out at everyone working there, with customers staring at me shocked....

The manager promised he would take care of my matter personally and that I was to receive a call from him the next day. 4 days later I went to the shop again to find that the shop didnt really have a manager and that the guy who promised to take care of my problem was the assistant in charge who was on holidays for a week.
.......
Anyway after a lot of phone calls again they managed to locate my phone and verify that it was fixed and that I was to receive it soon.
Next day I receive the call to pick up my phone but when I went to the shop I was told that I had to pay £60 to fix it and (suprise, suprise) it wasnt fixed yet. They told me that either I pick it up as it is and take it somewhere else or pay the £60.

What made it even worse was when I realised that a mark that i had on the back of my phone wasnt there, and when I checked the S/N on the receipt and on the phone I realised this was actually not my phone......

Anyway after a threat for a letter from my lawyer I managed to speak to a manager in Nicosia and eventually got a replacement (which btw the battery cover was missing and i had to keep the old one)

So yeah...
i dont love Stephanis

Hmmm. I should check this place out then. Ever since I was charged something like £45CYP in a random small computer shop for a network switch that was advertised on Pixmania for about £16CYP I have just ordered online (although I have mostly done this in the UK for years). I accept shops have to markup but that took the piss. Really needed a switch right there and then though and the place is like literally the other side of the road where I live. Saw me coming. Had to laugh when they said "have a good holiday". Right. I can't possibly live here and would need a switch on holiday? Weren't Cypriots running the place though so perhaps should expand out a bit more. Those "G" shops aren't too bad value. Bit like Dixons. You know you can get it cheaper online, but for the difference and because you want it now you don't care.

Cheers

Thats pretty cool. Mine was just a simple Netgear 4 port 10/100 effort I believe. Well expensive. Still miss Dabs for the sheer size of their catalogue though...
