Limewire is an ad/virus/spyware free program. Its fine when you know what youre doing. Ive been using it for years with no problems.
Its only young people who end up downloading viruses whixh come in the form of bogus results. I only use it for music and films. I just check the file sizes before downloading them....

You'll be surprised how many people live with adware/mulware/viruses and don't even know it!
Here's a quick test you can do... from your desktop and while all programs are closed, that is your pc is "idle", press [ctrl]+[alt]+[del] and then when the Task Manager comes up click on the "Performance" tab. Now don't move your mouse for about a minute and observe the graph.
If your "CPU Usage" doesn't settle down to less that 3% (ideally 1%) there's definitely one or more processes preoccupying your processor.
NB: The above test is only valid for your HOME pc/laptop, not the one at work most likely on a busy network.
Btw, downloading programs like iMesh, Limewire Godzilla, etc ARE adware/mulware.
