You show them laddy? Not even his mother's shown Gordo this much affection. Wonder if you'll be calling him laddy when he convinces Erdogan (laddy 2) not to invade Iraq cause the UK is planning on starting a long friendship with your good matea the Kurds. Watch this space for next biggest UK base being setup in Kirkuk.

Welcome to UK Laddy politics and Turkish alliances with the British. Its like two hedgehogs trying to hug!

This article sheds a little more light on the political games being played. The "TRNC" is due no more recognition than it has ever had!

http://my.telegraph.co.uk/john_akritas/ ... rt_two.htm

Jim Murphy, Minister for Europe . . . regarding the Turkey-UK Strategic Partnership 2007/8 agreement signed in London on Tuesday between prime ministers Gordon Brown and Recep Tayyip Erdogan . . .

Questioned:
"The Strategic Partnership Agreement signed between Turkey and the UK on Tuesday contains references to Britain helping upgrade the “Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus”, which the UN has declared an illegal secessionist entity. Why has Britain chosen to ignore UN resolutions and its responsibilities to Cyprus under the 1960 Treaty of Establishment and give succour to those who support the island's partition?’

Murphy’s response.....

"...... about the Strategic Partnership Agreement with Turkey… Our policy on the non-recognition of the so-called "Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus" is unchanged. We do not and will not recognise a separate entity in the Northern part of Cyprus. Nor does anything in the document reflect any attempt to upgrade the status of the North or promote partition. I hope that reassures you."
