MTN MMS settings

Postby Crivens » Fri Oct 26, 2007 6:11 pm

I could never get my Areeba pay as you go card working with MMS on my mobile (worked with same phone on UK pay as you go). I decided to have another go at it but now they have changed to MTN the pages with the information seem to be dead.

Anyone have MMS (thats the picture messaging, not standard text) working with MTN pay as you go, and what are the settings?

Cheers

Aha, all the old MTN pages seemed to be cocking up, but www.mtn.com.cy works and a new page states you need to text "MMS" to 8855. Worked for me. Although texting "WAP" to the same number doesn't work for the WAP functionality on mine. Keep getting a DNS error.

Call 136 and explain your problem to MTN customer care agent...they WILL send you a working setup file by text..

Will have to try that.

As it turns out my MMS message to a hotmail account worked fine with a picture, but sending the same thing to a mobile of a friend in the UK just gave a text with a web address that didn't work. Damn annoying.
