As expected, I believe the Turkish administration have kick-started their calling for the gradually recognition of the so-called TRNC state. Now I believe we all have a problem and should be worried. At first we had the call from Kofi Annan to remove the so-called isolation, the OIC to upgrade the representation of the Turkish Cypriots as the "Turkish Cypriot State", the Syrian affair and now the UK/Turkey trade agreement encompassing Northern Cyprus as it's seen as an extended part of Turkey. Or isn't it?

As much as I want to wait for the Republic of Cyprus to push for a "Pure" federal agreement, a two state deal within realistic borders may eventually be the only chance we may eventually have, only if we act now.

In my view, I believe that if we can't secure an urgent Federal style agreement (Non-Annan Plan style please), we'd better secure a two-state one at the very least before the so-called Turkish Cypriot State, TRNC or Northern Cyprus is ultimately accepted, or recognised, within its present 37%. territory. I hate to admit this, but, if we don't act soon; in other words if President Papadopoulos doesn't act soon, very soon, we may just end up having to accept the status quo - which is a result any Greek Cypriot fears to wake up to (Sorry, I have to be honest here). Therefore, my question this time is:

(1) Are we just going to sit and watch the world "Gradually" recognise the so-called TRNC engulfing 37% of the island, or are we going to pull our socks up and push for a federal, or even a Two-State agreement within an acceptable territory limit.

Time appears to be running short, and I most certainly do not think the AKP party in Turkey, or even the CTP party in Turkish Cypriot politics (Which I believe is the same party!), are the kind to wait any longer, considering the damage they've do to the Cyprus issue so far!

Let's look at it this way, how many Cyprus MPs and ministers will we eventually need to send to other countries of the world in order to dissuade them no to do business with Turkey and the so-called Northern Cyprus TRNC? This is all getting out of hand, especially the latest news report regarding the Syrian affair in the Cyprus-Mail.

Or, do you think I am worrying for nothing? If so, please convince me!

You are totally correct in your thought process this is how things happen gradually little by little then a gush that leaves everybody with their mouths wide open. GCs have exposed themselves to the EU showing them they will just piss everyone about for a long time and Papdop is taking you down a route of no return, you vote him in and you will be doing us the biggest favor in the world as he does more for our cause than anyone else as he produces no alternatives or does not display any signs of sincerity towards finding a solution only lip service.

I often wonder what makes otherwise mature individuals panic and post garbage like this! In Cyprus we have a saying… “Min bnigese sena botiri nero” or “Don’t drown yourself in a glass of water” …for a direct English translation.

NOBODY has the authority to hand out portions of sovereign Cyprus other than Cyprus (RoC) her self, and that isn’t going to happen… at least not while we have a decent government like TP and treasonous clowns like Clerides, Vasiliou, Anastasiades, are kept at bay.

There are countless UN resolutions in favor of Cyprus’ sovereignty that are ETERNALLY BINDING unless revoked or abided by and the chances of them being revoked are next to zero.

Who do you think Turkey is anyway? They'll be lucky to remain intact as a nation within the next two decades.

TRNC AND BRITAIN ARE WORKING TOGEATHER ,THERE ARE U.S LAWYERS PAID BY THE TRNC ,TURKEY,BRITAIN AND U.S WORKING ON THESE DEALS

we lost ...to their benefit the TRNC will get what it needs ....

we lost bro .... they will hang the $$$$$ over our noses next year and early 09 and we will be forced to accept $$$ in compensation ...they keep the North and we keep the south and all our politicians already know this

we will have a recesssion in 08/09 ...a economic slowdown and it will be at the right time
