I came across this website that provides emergency information and contact addresses for major tourist destinations.

There is a leaflet available for Cyprus although this one only covers Larnaca:

Good idea for those planning independent travel rather than with a travel company.

Maybe there will be some more on other parts of Cyprus?

It is good to have this information at your fingertips, but let us not alarm potential visitors too much, either. Cyprus is a very stable, safe country and the emergency services work well. I don't think the vast majority of independent travellers are likely to face any kind of problem.
