Papadopoulos has completely lost it!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Bananiot,

Be careful with what you read in the DOL group media. They have taken on the job of pressing for the acceptance of a major defeat over Cyprus. They systematically refuse to print responses to articles and opinions written by such stars of the new pinko defeatist left in Greece like professor Iraklidis, Kartalis and co.

A question that should be asked is where is Greece to ask for a more just distribution of territory if the situation is heading, as it seems to be heading, towards partition?

Partition will be a major defeat for Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots alike. The territory issue is academic. If it comes down to partition, the north will be as good as annexed to Turkey and soon the population will grow to more than a million. The Turkish Cypriots (with the emphasis on Cypriot) will move to the south or emigrate to European Union countries. We will be virtually choked to death by Turkey and our future will loom very uncertain. Those that say "wait for the balance of power to change" do not really grasp the realities and are simply led astray by the patriotic cries of the bigots, that have hurt us so much in the past.

And one word of advice: The president is accountable just like all elected to various posts politicians. It is the duty of all those that disagree with his policies to stand up and say their disagreement. Accusing those that criticise the President for his choices is like calling for the end of democracy and a return to the time of the Greek junta.

And what did he destroy that we didn't want destroyed? (e.g. the Annan plan)

He is destroying exactly what he should. Beyond that, the economy and everything else that depends on him are doing good.
