Poor Bananiot, is just playing along with the Turkish/TC game of “Have a little bit here for a little bit there” blackmail oblivious to the fact that as soon as the RoC accepts ANY of these shitty exchanges she will have sold her soul to the devil.
The RoC doesn’t need to play along with her blackmailing enemies but work tirelessly on the plan that will liberate Cyprus once and for all. The UN is on her side which clearly calls for all uninvited militaries to leave Cyprus and for the rightful government of Cyprus to extend its control over all four corners of the island. Cyprus has the right to defend herself AND liberate her territory.
As I said the other day elsewhere, I personally prefer a more confrontational approach to solving the problem and that would involve adopting what I call the ISRAELI model!
This basically involves a dramatic enhancement of the National Guard in conjunction with hired professionals and then a gradual commencement of bullying tactics against Turkey… in other words the hunter becoming the hunted. This is the ONLY language Turkey understands.
These are just a few steps the RoC can first take to commence what should be a 10 year plan to achieve liberation of her entire territory…
1. Military spending should be increased significantly from the current 3.5% to a strong 10%.
2. The National Guard service should be increased to three years.
3. Women should also serve a mandatory non-combat three year service and fill ALL administration & clerical positions thereby freeing up all males for combat.
4. Increase investment in Short and Mid-range missile technologies (preferably French).
5. Explore the possibility of hiring special professional forces to assist in the operation.
6. Further enhance and extend Cyprus’ military alliance with France.
