It is up to you to be Cypriots or not. A TC that considers as his country the "Turkish republic of northern Cyprus" he declares himself as non-Cypriot. He declares himself to be a citizen of some "Turkish Republic" which just happens to be illegally established in Cyprus on land stolen from the Cypriots.

Not all TCs are like that of course, but it appears that the majority is.

Hey deniz slow down, the above is totally out of character for you. Piratis with all his faults deep does understand where we are coming from but does not have the courage to acknowledge that we as a community have rights on a par with their own. What he should realize is that we do not want to use those rights to dominate or influence the Gc community negatively as we would view ourselves as one country and want to good of all. The problem is to have the right top stop the majority like they do in the EU when one communities is in danger or at risk by any decision that will effect them negatively.

Zan, Cypriots existed waaaaaay before you set your foot on this island. If you wanted you could integrate and became Cypriots as well. However you choose to be "separate people" and the extension of Turkey in Cyprus.

We are always ready to accept you and help you to integrate and become equal Cypriot citizens if you wish. However it is obvious that your wish is not to integrate with Cypriots, but to integrate with mainland Turks that you import by the 10s of thousands, so you will finally loose even those last drops of Cypriotness that is left in you.

You either do not know, or are completely ignorant of the spirit of those times. Any type of BBF will end up with some people not getting their land back. TCs understood this, GCs still don't understand it.

The why is simple: Because TCs would gain lands that have always belonged to us, and realize their aim of partition. Furthermore while the TC minority was upgraded to 50% the GC majority was reduced to 50%.

Do you think TCs would have voted yes if land distribution was 12% for them and 88% for us and without the undemocratic power sharing that the AP proposed?
