Just in case you haven't heard, Expatkiwi is being ostracised by his ATCA colleagues as a "Turk Hater". It doesn't matter that Expatkiwi still supports independence recognition for the north. He had the gall to tell people on the ATCA forum that Turkey's overly excessive military presence in the north, plus Turkey's economic stanglehold on the north has made an utter mockery of the north's independence claims. He also pointed out that there are some other things about Turkey he does not support (he mentioned specifically the closure of Turkey's border to Armenia and the denial of self-determination for the Kurds), and for expressing his views on this, he is being pilloried! Looks like Expatkiwi is learning the hard way about the attitudes of people living in the north...

Give him a few more months, and he will come to hate the TCs too, as he now does the Turks ....

He is taking the long way round, but his enlightenment will come and he will learn to love the GCs

Evolution ....

What happened to Miltiades?????

He is keeping an eye on you.

I am sure of that Deniz

Perhaps someone should tell utu of the fate of Miltiades and how this Forum treats people they don't like the look of......even utu seems to be fooled by what is going on and is taking it out on those that disagree with Expat.......Miltiades = Banned......Expat = Still posting.......What does that tell you then utu????

Most of the hard-line views expressed on forums like these actually tend to come from people of Cypriot heritage who grew up and still live in another country.

Oracle, Pointing out to Zan that he'd rather have the island - or the northern portion of it - annexed to Turkey seems to be having a rather interesting reaction. Kind of makes a mockery of the northern administation's claims to want to be a seperate country, doesn't it? Even without Turkey's current chokehold.

Have we been recognised? NO

We look to our options utu......The UN and the EU have given us hope and then taken it away. They have let the "RoC" into the EU against their own rules.....Tell me who we are to trust.....All of them or the people that have fed us and clothed us.....My nan had to have both her legs amputated before she finally died...We had no access to the "RoC" then...Turkey provided the hospitals and the money.

'kay, So Turkey helps with the infrastructure. The question then begs: what's the price for all of this aid?

Everything has a price utu......The price for giving into the "RoC"........We can't afford!!

We have asked the international community to recognise us and we have been double crossed.....We thought that the EU would do the right thing as they promised they would....They double crossed us......Turkey seems good right now......
