For a Palestinian who has a TC wife, and who started out on the CF by saying…

“I like some arguments and like to hear from both sides. I have many Turkish and Greek Cypriot friends, i work with many of them.”

…you sure “evolved” over time haven't you?

Oh yes, looked over some of his older posts now too, and his English seems to have got "worse" with practice ...

His written Turkish might suggest he is a mainlander. Who cares?

I do!

Oh! I forgot about you. He is all yours. I hope you are happy together. :?

Who the hell are you? Trying to insult Deniz by calling him a "Gavur" and later on implying that he likes to take it up the batty. From your Turkish I'd got the impression you are from Turkey (not that it would make a difference to me), but why try to hide the fact? Deniz and many other people on this forum are far to mature to be insulted by your stupid remarks.

Denis, a Greek Cypriot girl I know is married to a man from Turkey. They live in London. Last year they came over for a holiday and one day I tried to get Kemal across to see the other part of Cyprus. Well, they would not let him, at the check point, because he entered Cyprus through Larnaca. I found this very odd.

Bananiot,

Why the surprise? So many odd things happen in the north. One that says a lot is the prohibition of entry of TRNC "citizens" to casinos which have no similar prohbition for GCs. What does that tell you about the attitude of our "compatriots" to GCs?

Do you honestly thinik that these practices are in line with EU standards? Especially in view of Talat's assertions that TCs are the "true Europeans"?

It seems odd to me, too. Did he present a Turkish passport? This interests me because I may wish to take a mainland Turkish citizen who has entered via Larnaca to the north.

Thank you all for your support. Obviously there is a different mentality floating about. I have become a 'gavur' for stating that travelling through the south is 'hassle free'. I wonder what next?

As they say " Tell the truth and get chased away from nine villages"/"Dogru soyliyeni dokuz koyden kovarlarmis". He has a lot to learn.

Gavur bozması? Not a very Cypriot turn of phrase, is it? Well done, Deniz, I think you have pinned him down.

Dear Deniz, don't respond to hate with hate but with love. Then the hate stays in the other party. That should be your new motto! :D

Tim, this is exactly what happened. I told Niazi Kizilurek about it and he promised to speak to the "authorities" about this because he found it very odd too. I do not know if the policy has been changed since, perhaps Halil can enlighten us.
