Do not be harsh on yourself. I have seen many non eastern performers like Mz Brice who outdo eastern performers hands down.

be realistic denzi my man...i've only been at it for 3 years. i am an old woman. no one wants to pay to see me dance, but i paid $75 USD per ticket for the rachel brice performance in 2 weeks.

regardless, i love the dance, as a celebration of my femininity. it's great exercise, and it keeps everything moving. someday i'm going to start to stiffen up. i am trying to postpone that! ;-)

Point taken. In Cyprus all my little nieces used to begin dancing the age of three. It is an art form perfected after plenty of practice. As long as you enjoy it, that is the main thing. As for as an aid to keep fit, I could do with some too.

....and if you did perform, who mentioned momey changing hands?

Enjoy

Thanks Halil, but I beat you to it with the Reyhan clip. Apart from the e a corruption of ambar.Rome music I love her smile and style.
Thanks also for the Gibrislica Lugat.
I think 'Beytanbal' comes from Arabic roots. Beyt is hane/house, anbal may may be a corruption for ambar. So the word beytambal might mean 'storeroom'. I have often used the expression, what does it imply? I havent a clue.
