Hi Marshie,
My son lives in Limassol and much to my dismay bought a Honda CBR 600 RR in June.He has come through so far unscathed and done above 3000km.
He has been all over the island and is loving it.He has visited loads of small villages in the Troodos and travelled from Famagusta to Polis.
I hope he continues to enjoy his rides for a long time to come, and hope you may be able to do the same.
Cheers Norman.

There's a huge Harley Owners Group (HOG) chapter in Cyprus. They were up in Nicosia yesterday doing rides for the Radiomarathon. They host rides en masse every two weeks around the island and often have weekends away. PM if you want more info. What Harley do you have? Hubby has the 100th anniversary VRod.

We Brought Both our bikes with us, ZX10-R (Mine) GSX1000R K-5 (Hers) and loving the riding over here.
Cyprus hasn't got a Policy of trying to straighten all the roads incase Tin box owners nod off at the wheel and cause a accident, Unlike Oxfordshire our old stomping Ground.

We heard all sorts of tales about how bad the cypriot drivers are etc but do not find them any worse than the UK
after all when your on a Bike Everyones trying to kill You :)

The roads can be a bit bumpy and can without warning turn into Gravel track in some offbeat places which make for a interesting time on Sports Bikes, but as long as you stick to personaly know good roads the Riding is exelant.
As always Its just a case of riding within safe limits of you the road and your bike. Never mind what the Locals Do and ride with a helmet and leathers.

One thing is that you will struggle to get Comprehesive insurance.
We did at twice the Uk price but the Broker said that it was only because we had Imacculate Riding records,
15-20 years full Licence each No points (they'd just expired) no accidents etc and then we had to take out the car and house insurance to.

A Harley is more suited to the roads over here than ours but I'd not be seen dead on one :)

So If you want to Do it.
