calling all bikers in cyprus...

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

I've got a Ducati 749s over here and wouldn't give it up for anything! The roads are great, as long as you keep off the highways as they're full of speedtraps.

I think the poor standard of driving makes it safer on a bike here. You just expect everyone to do something stupid all the time, so it's never a surprise when they do. In the UK, if someone pulls out in front of you without indicating, you shout & scream at them. Out here, if they indicate you just assume they are trying to clean their winscreen and carry on avoiding them. ;)

They host rides en masse every two weeks around the island and often have weekends away. PM if you want more info. What Harley do you have? Hubby has the 100th anniversary VRod.

All this talk of Harleys & choppers is making me feel like relaxing in a big armchair and smoking a pipe. Here's a pic of my torture rack to wake all you oldies up a bit!

Marshie, have you contacted Harley in Nicosia to see what they have available. Or better still try Eddy Wrights and bring the bike over from the UK. You'll save a small fortune :)

No, hubby bought the bike here in Cyprus. We met and married over here...aaahh :)

Jack is a great guy and on the HOG committee. The events they have are great fun. Imagine around 50 bikes streaming through the towns and villages of Cyprus in a huge convoy. It's an awesome sight. Even the smaller rides are good, 20-30 bikes. Everyone is very welcoming. All professions and nationalities from Cypriots, Greeks, English, American it's the United Nations of bike riding :D
