I just finished watching the game of Germany vs. Cyprus. The end result was 4-0, however it definitely isn't representative of the overall picture in the pitch. A 2-0 or a 3-1 would have been more so! Cyprus did try hard and looked at Germany in the eyes! Playing against one of perhaps top 3 national teams in the world, and still managing to make some dangerous attacks that required the Germans to run and sweat for all 90 minutes, is certainly something to talk about. The Germans were very effective in scoring and managed to so 4 out of perhaps 8 chances, whereas Cyprus zero luck out of probably 5 chances!
PS: Germany wasn't missing 8 key players, as someone mentioned, but only 3, nevertheless; even having been missing 8 ones, it still is a country 100 times larger than Cyprus!
