Movie Reviews

Postby andytandreou » Mon Mar 07, 2005 12:58 am

Hi guys, I wanted to sit down with some friends this weekend with a good movie and relax. My mood however was destroyed by a horrible, horrible, horrible movie called "The Hills" which is in the new releases in all DVD clubs around the island. This stupid "blockbuster" is so amazingly AWFUL and has nothing to offer, other than a silly plot and very bad acting.

After watching the movie to the end (god knows why i didn't turn it off sooner) I was angered by the fact that I just wasted part of my life on such complete and utter nonsence. The film stars "Paris Hilton" an "IT Girl" who has about as much acting abilities as my shower-head.

BE WARNED NEXT TIME YOU WALK INTO A DVD CLUB... "The hills" and "Paris Hilton" SUCK BIG TIME!!! (don't say i didn't warn you)...

p.s. I don't know how these Holdywood producers get away with this but lets use this post to advise people of good movies to watch. I highly recomend "little black book" and "Bridget Jones Diary 2"

I recommend "Since Otar left", a different Georgian movie but very good. Also Jim Carrey's "Ethernal Sunshine for the Spotless Mind" again an odd but good movie.

A great movie is "The Motorcycle Diaries"

It is an extraordinary movie depicting the life of Ernesto "Che" Guevara as he wandered South America in his youth on a motorcycle and discovered the misery and hardships the simple people were facing.

Also A Very Long Engagement is supposed to be good but I've only seen half of it because it was in French with Spanish subtitles and between the tranlsations in my head I got dizzy!

Is it really good Thrill? I've read Che's book but I'm a little concerned that they might ruin it in the movie...

Hi cannedmoose,

that was what I was thinking as well.... But maybe its even better when you have "pictures" accompany the book. Haven't decided yet whether to watch the movie or not.
