I'm Cypriot, Turkish Cypriot. Whenever I'm in Turkey and am asked my origin I reply I'm Turkish from Cyprus to which the Turk responds with "oh you are Kibrisli" meaning you are Cypriot. This is a clear indications that our cousins on the mainland see us as a different race, a different type of Turk.

I'm proud of my culture and my Cypriotness. This does not mean I'm denying my Turkish connection.

Do they also see the Istanbullus different MR-from-NG?

That reminds me. Whenever I talk with mainland Turks from the eastern provinces -Turk and Kurd, they are convinced I am from Istanbul - with my Cypriot Turkish accent. Mind boggles.

So why is the island divided and you still haven't got your ENOSIS or osmosis

Ok, so what about the "settlers" kids who are/were born in Cyprus, are they Turkish Cypriots?

What about the kids born to Turkish Cypriots parents outside of the TRNC, are they Turkish Cypriots?

I suppose by TRNC law,they both classify as Turkish Cypriots...

Does this not mean that iceman who is a proud Turkish Cypriot and would not let anyone take that status away from him abides by the TRNC laws and accepts that the Turkish "settlers" kids are classified as Turkish Cypriots just like he and I and every Turkish Cypriot was?

Your trouble is that you have only two gullible TCs in this forum, Bir and kikapoo, or is there any other TCs you have managed to brainwash to give up their Turkishness?

In 44 years all you a=have achieved is to lose 1 third of the island, in another 4444 years you might be able to achieve unification but until then it's partition for you and your GC compatriots and for me of course and my TC compatriots.

But Aric-dayis' original statement was badly worded. When he said"Turks are coming", does he mean 'Turkish subjects' are coming? or 'ethnic Turks' and 'ethnic Kurds' are coming? ..and the goings could be hair spliting as well if we manage to stretch our imagination. So we can ask eric dayi to re- present his question so we will try to give a proper answer.
