DO the TC's agree with this statement?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I'm proud of my culture and my Cypriotness. This does not mean I'm denying my Turkish connection.

Do they also see the Istanbullus different MR-from-NG?

That reminds me. Whenever I talk with mainland Turks from the eastern provinces -Turk and Kurd, they are convinced I am from Istanbul - with my Cypriot Turkish accent. Mind boggles.

"oh your are Kibrisli" , sounds familiar, been in Greece for 33 years and I get the same, oh you are a Kyprios, and if they are talking about you is the more familiar "Kypraios". definitely perceived as different.

As for Eric, who says I "want the same" meaning to enslave him and other TCs, he is rushing to judge and prejudge. What stumps me is how people who come from the Paphos area can be moved to Kyrenia and like it. No offence meant for Kyrenians but Paphos is .... well different. I cannot accept that those people do not miss their birthplace and their land. As I believe that they talk to their children about their land and they still consider it theirs (and rightly so). This idea that all is well and everyone is happy just does not ring true.

Istanbul, not Constantinople! Is tin poli =Istanbul a truly Greek name! Constantinople is derived from the Latin name of Constantine. Turks had it right all along! It is the Greeks who insist on using the Lating name!

So my good nights go to Nikitas. The last coins of the Ottomans still used the name Konstantiniyye. (darbhane-i Konstantiniyye) = the mint of Konstantiniyye.

Good night to all. what an evening. I dont think I'll be travelling to Syria in those little boats. I dont trust 'em. The Syrians that is.
