DO the TC's agree with this statement?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

It's easy for you or any other TC living abroad to say "be patient"...We do not share the same worries and those living outside Cyprus are not aware of the real problems we face...I wouldn't expect you to understand these.

I am sorry if you were upset with the second part of my reply to Eric's question but that is not my opinion it's a general belief many TC's share deep down...

We are trying to help Iceman......You know what my sister said a while back with tears in her eyes.....She gave me a big kiss and said " I believe it was your destiny to leave Cyprus and survive so that you could help them when you grew up instead of being killed". I don't believe in destiny but the irony is overwhelming.

I understand where you are coming from mate but tell me what you intend to do...What is it that you want...I wish that I could say that every TC that lives in the TRNC?KKTC says the same thing but they don't. Sure they complain about the Turks and so do I at times but what is the alternative...Do you want to go into the `"RoC" and if so why don't you....I am not trying to get you angry here...I just want to know what you want.

I ve heard a lot of sentimental nonsense from Charlies and Johnies, but this has to be the No1.

Glad you liked it Pyro......I shall convey your feelings to my sister.... Yet I will not tell her that your English is so bad that you do not fully understand what I said but hey ho! Life goes on.....Have you stopped using the word "Nigger" by the way and had the guts to speak up when you see an old worker being wrongly told off.....   Or was that the Pyro tthat got sacked

Zanny I know you were raised up by your sisters. This explains a lot about you. 8)

TC observes:

"We were either Turks or Greeks. Plus we were just VILLAGERS with villager mentality! Considering all the mainlanders' glories and what not, no wonder the Cypriots wanted to associate with the motherlands so much. But times have changed! We are now proud of our villager roots. Our culture, traditions and history stand no chance to survive if more and more Turks come to Cyprus. "

Precisely the same complex of the villager towards the cosmopolitan mainlander afflicted the Greek Cypriots back in the 60s and early 70s. Then we realised that they villagers just as much as we were. After 1974 when we had to do or sink, and we managed to recover and economically catch up to Greece the balance was more towards us. When we joined the EU and saw that in Europe the Cypriots were in many ways more in tune with the rest of Europe then Greece was the complex was totally gone.

This is the way forward for Turkish Cypriots as well. You are more European than you know. And tell the mainlanders to fuck off. Turkey is a huge country they do not need to come to Cyprus to find land or make their fortune. They are put there for other reasons.
