Just this minute finished 'The Magus' by John Fowles. It is an enthralling read, impossible to put down...............

'The Island' by Victoria Hislop - all about the leper colony that used to be on Spinalonga just off Crete. A very moving and sad story.

I dont know why but I read that in Greek. Never manage to finish it though. Even if I can tell that it is an interesting story it is boring...and I think that is the way that it is written or actually translated.

"The Gathering" by Anne Enright.

... Reminds me, strangely, of "Cold Comfort Farm" by Stella Gibbons ... another slightly disturbing, but well written story.

Give it another shot Lena mou; it really is an interesting book.
