Two State or Federation? Which is the most probable?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

In case of partition what concerns me is if the south will be left alone. If we have to live forever more with threats from a Turkish army permanently stationed in the north then it does not sound like much of an independence. And neither you nor any one else on this forum is going to be around to offer compensation for that.

But like I said there is not much chance of that happening. Turkey wants separation without independence otherwise they would have said as much and they would not have interfered in the oil issue.

If you havent realized it already you are on your own as you put it, with which I disagree as you are now in the EU they will protect in times of aggression but why should that ever happen or do you have hidden agendas? yet again.

What happens in the north is not your concern and if your only excuse is Turkeys military might then you have not taken into accoutn that they will always be only 40 miles away.

In order to address your concerns after agreed partition, Turkey could reduce is army strength here on the island how does that sound?

The international pressure on Turkey will be immense if the TRNC is recognised Nikitas. They will have no choice to pull back. That does not mean that we can work as closely with them as the "RoC" does with Greece. With the success of the TRNC many partnerships with Turkey will happen just like the two Greek republics. I see no reason why that cannot happen. You are helping to keep Turkey their by your actions.
