People who rant long messages about Cyprus that will get them nowhere, instead of getting on with the job and making the best of things.

Thirded…

I’m sick of people that come here and immediately want to change the place. Why?

I’ve just got back from ten days in the UK – believe me, Cyprus and its people is a paradise compared to that shit hole.

Me fourth-ded! As I said in the last thread most people just want to get on with their lives and make it as good as it can be for them and their family.

One insy winsy moan - most shop assistants are so miserable! Today I bought a printer, the shop assistant looked like her face had been slapped with a wet fish. I pointed out that the ink cartridges were not in the box (they were meant to be part of the package) and she just shrugged and said 'what can I do, someone has taken them out?" O-kay......how about giving me replacements? Huffs and puffs later I got a huge £5 discount!!! This is typical so come on you shop assistants, smiling won't hurt your face!

Most people when they go to work feel as they are going to jail ! The best time to do your shopping and see the shop assistant smiling is at the end of the month when they get paid! Note also that shop assistants work for the minimum salary in some places and this may explain their attitude in general.

yes so do they do in the U.K ...the difference is ,that staff are trained and taught to be polite, speak to customers ,we have customer relation courses ,we train our staff to speak and LISTEN to the client ...and most shop assistants understand the value of the customer ...none of this is taught to local shop assistants.

also ...the average shop assistant is taught never to use their mobile phone whilst on duty ...try telling that to the prissy girls in shop stores in cyprus

seems most g CYPS think customers are a inconvience ....

I'd be interested in people's thoughts as to how investing could be improved in CY, and/or what's wrong with it. People told to buy stocks but never told when to sell? Better regulation needed as to reporting, etc?

He does not DO shopping!!! Anyway do you think he would get more smiles? I don't think so - he's far grumpier than me!

Where is Mrs GR, she'll have something more sensible to say!
