Hi ive just been on holiday to cyprus for a couple of weeks , and i loved it . Im from Manchester and Ive been very unhappy since I got back because I realise how rubbish england is how rude everybody is and how angry people get over nothing . I love the Cypriot way of life how laid back it is , how friendly the people are , the weather obviously, the buildings just everything about it . I would move there for six months but my boyfriend wont . I stayed in the Isaac apartments in Penera and everybody was so nice Alex the barman even offered me a job !

 That should be the least of your worries... there's plenty of Andy Garcia look-alikes already waiting for you here on the beaches of Cyprus...

Pernera in winter

Postby cymart » Fri Oct 26, 2007 4:54 pm

I don't think you will find Pernera very interesting in winter! It virtually shuts down from November to April and there is nothing to do.You may even get bothered by sex-starved villagers from Paralimni who are desperate for the new tourist season to start etc!
If you really must come here in the winter, why not go to somewhere like Larnaca which is a town with facilities and which has life all year round.

I hope you realise that of all those wonderfully nice Cypriot people you met in the bars and restaurants most are not Cypriots but are cheap labour from Eastern Europe .

Salaries and poor and costs are relatively high ( relative to income ) in Cyprus ~~ but in saying that at twenty years old it will certainly be a great experience for you ~~ go for it ~~ you might never come back
