It's definitely +1 mate. My Turkish is that of a 8/10 year old. I can read all of it but understand only 70% say! That is why I could not fully appreciate BKs' interpretation of my poems. That is one time when I really regretted not being totally at home with my Turkish.

It's not only you Zan, it's at least another 3 persons. I don't want to mention names, but I am surprised Deniz hasn't yet spotted them.

I don't see what the problem is anyway. I am a product of my generation and there are thousands like me...I am so glad to see that the younger generation is much different though and are frequently visiting Cyprus and keeping up with the TC side of them....As much as you guys don't like to hear it, they actually have somewhere they can relate to and call home. I didn't have that and felt alienated for a long time. If I can at last feel like a Turkish Cypriot then there is hope for every one. Make no mistake guys...This is a very big mile stone in my life.....I do not intend to let go of it.

1)i don't see any problem either Zan. Simply Deniz got offended.
2)I don't know any expat who was visiting frequently in the 60s-80s. Air tickets costed a fortune. Today the standard of living is ten times higher and the cost of air tickets as low as 1/5th, so the real cost is 50 times less that what it was.

Pyro, I was nearly offended. I had not finished reading your post yet. I wrongly assumed it was another barrage of TC bashing.

Do you personally know the Mystical Three? I do not recal anyone apart from Zan mentioning anything about their abilities. Even then I did not believe him as I felt he was quite good with his posts.(in English) I assumed wrong.

I hope you don't mind me mentioning this but I PM'ed you to ask if you felt that KKs' translation was a good one because I could not get the rhythm of it fully because of my bad Turkish. You said it was good but did not mention the fact that it made you cry. I am assuming this is the translation you were referring to by the way. I will make an effort to get it read to me by someone that speaks perfect Turkish so that I can get a feal for it now that I know that....

Now my memory cells are betraying me. Why did I cry? Was it the perfect quality of the translation or the reverse. Oh yes , It was a very good translation. Almost professonal.

For me..The fact that these people and the organisations or the individual has said that we feel comfortable playing in the TRNC/KKTC and not believing everything the Greeks have told them is more important at the moment. The all out embargoes are wrong and people are starting to see that.

What I find disturbing is the amount of time the RoC will spend on trying to stop any kind of inter-action between North Cyprus and the outside world. Its pathetic considering that they claim to want unification. Well, the outside world are no idiots. They can see the RoC for what they really are.

deniz that's the mentality they think that if no one comes here and many have they will make us yield to their ideology of making us live in a GC state. Little by little things will change and I'm telling the GCs will be gutted for missing the opportunities they have had to unite, just like they regret what they did to bring about 1974 a turning point in this islands history.

Well VP, they were not called called 'YAYGARACI' for nothing. It goes right back into their history (ancient Greece). Even at funerals, if there were not enough mourners, they would hire 'professionls mourners' for their 'wailing'. This is whats happening now. Their funeral (missed chances i.e.).
