Sotos,

Question 1, Have you lost land in the north?
Question 2, Have you gained land in the south?
Question 3, Would you give up your life, land, in the south and relocate to the north?
Question 4, How would you solve the situation?

Piratis,
You are unbelievable. Truly.

'Everybody' can't publish stuff through www.parliament.uk as you absurdly claim. The specific references were extracts of evidence given by different bodies and organisations and individuals at the request of Parliamentary committees, in this case the Foreign Affairs Committee.

On that original link it says "We are grateful for the opportunity to submit the following contribution to the Committee of Foreign Affairs Inquiry About Cyprus." It says at the top of the page "Written Evidence."

What you've just claimed is unadulterated rubbish, which anybody who had read even the first two lines of the web page could have seen. And then at the bottom of the page it says (C) Parliamentary Copyright, 2005. So Piratis I think we can safely and finally say that 'everybody' can't publish stuff on this website.

Cooperline, there is no such thing as "pure bloodline" except maybe in some lost tribes in the Amazon (if they still exist).

Of course our language developed and we progressed, and we mixed partially with others, just like the rest of Greece and just like the rest of the world.

Does that give the right to foreigners to invade us and steal our land? Because if you are trying to make such a point, then it should be OK to invade foreign lands, butcher people by the 10s of thousands, steal their land and then enslave and exploit them. Is this what your Ottoman education is teaching you?

You can think whatever sick thing you want my friend. What I know is what my ancestors going back 1000 of years knew as well: This is our island and we will fight every foreign invader.

Get Real,

Can you prove the opposite?
Can I prove that the line is broken ? Yes. I have done - in 'blood', in language, in culture, in ...

What puzzles me is that trying to demonstrate an unbroken line adds absolutely nothing to the international legal or human rights claims that GCs have regarding the Cyprus problem. It doesn't strengthen the rights claims at all. It is a complete waste of energy but at the same time generates massive hostility and animosity.

OK then. Here is what the UK parliament says:

The fact that Turkey was ready to invade Cyprus immediately after the coup confirms that the whole issue was orchestrated in order to bring about the downfall of president Makarios and to open the way for Turkey to invade, using as a pretext its alleged right to intervene under the 1960 Treaty of Guarantee.
