Please stop assuming that anyone who dares to disagree with you is a Turk or has a GC land/house in the North. This just deflects from the point being made and lessens the strength of your arguement. Some of us are simply interested in history and are able to form our own opinions by looking at a range of research materials. As a result there are many issues which I would support GC's with and many that I feel the TC's have a more balanced view of. One thing is for sure the GC's on many of the forums tend to revert to name calling and sulking rather than truely discussing things in an open more honest way.

If you were honest you would just reveal your true identity. Why would a British, with nothing to gain, get so involved in favor of the Turks and against the Cypriots? Or maybe you were one of those British that we kicked your ass back in the 50s and you hate us since then?

Do you condemn the Armenian Genocide? Or was it also some "peace operation"? What is your opinion?

Piratis, As I said my wife is 1/2 gc. I think were going round in circles - I've been honest to say i do not know enough about the situation - so rather than stick some long winded quote off wikipedia and going back 3500 years like some people - I will keep out of it.

I didn't post anything off wikipedia.

If you don't know enough about the situation then why you talk in favor of the turks and against the Cypriots? From pure hate? (since we already established it can not be your deep knowledge of the issue)

So what EXACTLY is the nature of your business in the illegal Turkish military base?

Are you a policeman or a geologist?

I'd like to have a look at a couple of the army camps - some interesting geology - but I haven't been invited yet. I've seen some fairly interesting stuff at those in the South though.

You might be able to answer a separate question for me though - When the UK offered Cyprus enosis to Greece at the outbreak of WW2, why did they refuse it?

Yeah - leave the forum for GC's - they're the only ones who know what really happened.

The question is why the colonialists thought they could just trade us like slaves whenever they felt like?

Why didn't they just piss off from our island and let the Cypriot people decide what they want in a democratic way?
