The only way forward that I can see is taking baby steps towards each other, since there is no trust between are sides . I know that they are holding talks on placing a unified team on the pitch. That would be a great beggining. That would give both of are sides something to both back and and have together.

The Cyprus problem is solved, our peace offer was thrown back to our face as well, so now all we have to do is solve the problem with the rest of the world and UN, then find a way to compensate lost properties and shut the GC's up for good, they can close the border back too, personally i couldn't give a dam, i can be perfectly happy by simply ignoring the existence of the other half of the island...

What alternatives have we got? surrender to becoming a minority in a GC state left to the mercy of the numrical majority the Gcs.

Depends on the majority and their treatment of the minority, seeing GCs are the majoirty with an appaulling track record against TCs no sane Tc will want to go back to that situation again where they are exposed to Gc domination and discrimination.

HERE'S MY PROPOSAL TO GO INTO A SOLUTION :

......TRIPLE THE WEIGHTING of each TC vote (excludes Turkish settlers of course, Turkey must takem back! wot nerve to offload their uneducated and unemployed over here!) ........ SUBJECT TO the total weighting of the actual Turkish Cypriot vote not exceeding the total weighting of the Greek Cypriot vote ....

I know the gulf between TC and GC on this is wide but, for me, this is a fair proposal..... This should dispense with any fears on either side of ethnic exploitation. In any other EU country,does any ethinc minortiy get triple weighting for their vote compared to rest??? I very much doubt it. But Turkey has spun fear into the minds of TCs about how how GCs will exploit them .... fair enough but I think this proposal makes it all more balanced so then people can stop focusing on ethnic identities and start focusing on the real problems of government policies and how they affect normal every day lives. If theyre still moaning about the ethnic rights issue then theyre either paranoid or theyre just using this as an excuse to block any fair and workable solution.

But for this to work TCs and GCs must distance themselves politically from their motherlands. And there must be guarrantees in place that Turkey can never have official or effective control of the island or any part of it.

You may well laugh free-cyprus, show us the alternatives, other options and we'll consider it.

firstly nothing will get done in cyprus when you have arseholes that run the island and they use every means to justify they are greeks and turks,not only this desease is present in cyprus but its all over the world where cypriots live,

secondly when cypriots greek speaking and turkish speak get confront themselves and be honest and say yessssssssssssssssssss we cypriots greek and turkish speaking betrayed our own people in the name of motherland in the fifties, by becoming agenst of turkey and greece and spying on our own people and commiting crimes against our own people of cyprus,

thirdly when they stand up and say we are cypriots and we have nothing to do with greece or turkey.

what a fecking joke and yet cyprus proclaims to have high standard of education what a load of fecking rubbish how you produce people of cyprus greek speaking and turkish speaking that dont even ask the fundemantal question who are we really on this island we have been invaded and ruled for over 3000 years and yet we somehow emmerge as pure turks and greeks,

thats why in this forum most people talk a lot of shit for the sake of talkign and not realising what the feck they are talking about
