Campaign ribbons and medals are awarded for real campaigns and for worthy actions. When you see the Turkish High Command meeting in that Stalinesque office of theirs in full dress uniform you got to ask yourself- which campaigns justify all those ribbons, which heroic deeds resulted in so many medals for so few men.

Now look at the Israeli High Command and see.... no ribbons, no medals, the guys are wearing fatigues, they look like workind soldiers, even if they are generals. These guys fight almost everyday. The comparison is inevitable, and they undermine themselves there is no need for me or anyone else to do it.

And like the post says, small technical advances sometimes bring about big changes. Current technology is full of many such small and big changes that can make all big cumbersome armies obsolete, all and not just the Turkish army. Dont rush to judge all posts as antiturkish. Personally I dislike all high brass and their pseudo scientific attitude about war.

So ribbons, pomp and ceremony for you displays a week army? this is ridiculous what has that got to do with anything? Wear grey suits means that your army is more effective, there is just no relation. Of course technological advances are important but the Turkish Army also keeps abreast of these and spends a great deal of its annual budget on the military. They are ranked in the top 5 in the world and this is more than enough to keep GCs at bay or fight the Kurds who have been labelled by the world as terrorists which all countries are committed to fighting.

Apologies they only appear to be 8th but hey even if they were number 1 you would try to explain it away as thats how your minds work, we are used to it and like the rest of the world can only laugh at your foolishness and blind arrogance.

Another words, it would require some seriously humongous BOLLOCKS to take land from Turkey, which neither the GC's nor the Kurds have

Don't forget to tell them that this is MANPOWER, not training, technology, or capability, so no premature ejaculations allowed here.

For example, all it takes is for S.Africa to fire 3-4 missiles to toast Turkey and they're not in your top 10 list even.

There's like 30 odd countries that can toast Turkey at the moment and we're planning on becoming the 31st and I'll bet we'll get there before they do... 8)

Viewpoint wrote: Phoenix you conveniently forget you lost the war, you had your butts kicked real hard for the previous 11 years of shit you dished out on the TCs, you still havent gotten over it today.

Why am I here if I have forgotten that Turkey has invaded Cyprus and continues to station her troops here?
Most people would show some remorse for the victims of war, but not you VP . . . you call it having "butts kicked". Maybe your surname is Simpson!
VP wrote:The current divide is a direct result of your own greedy actions and has changed the scene in Cyprus forever, even the 2 communities are strangers to each other.

Cause and effect VP. You originally invaded us . . you are the cause of any defensive effects we may have carried out.
VP wrote:As I stated above the indigenous people of both Australia and North America lost their lands but the big difference between you and those peoples were they did nothing to the arriving people you did.

Is "arriving people" your euphemism for Invaders?
Did we fail to put out the red carpets for your invading Huns?
VP wrote:I maintain your arguements also shown above are shallow and only put forward to aggrivate and annoy TC posters, you actually admitted to this yourself. What are your real motives and how do you see a united Cyprus?

What I admit to myself is my own business . . . I assume you mean when I post. I am here to have the only vengeance I can manage against the rape of my country, which is to continually remind you of your crimes.

The only thing I respect you for VP is that you too have come out and declared your intention . . . in your case partition.

So why do you care for my vision of a united Cyprus? So that you can find a way to undermine it. Buzz off, VP!
