Since 1878 the Cypriots of all communities fit very nicely in the British Procrustean bed. After 1960 they even adopted British Common Law as the basic legal system, British style civil service, and they fit nicely into the British education system. This is proof that the two communities, given enough incentives, can adapt to most systems that are not simply copies of what happens in their respective "motherlands".
I wasn't implying they are copies of their "motherlands". I said they are individuals with natural variations.
Because of this they clearly have differences, religion, culture etc. To ignore this is to continue to face oppositions from each other and to each other.
