DISCUSSING Cyprob DRUNK????

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby miltiades » Sat Oct 13, 2007 3:37 pm

Pyrpolizer , you surprise me ! A teetotaler I would never have thought. Look man Jesus turned water into wine !!
Did you know that the most civilized human activity is drinking wine and more pleasurable than other activities since when you have one you can have another unlike some acts that you cant !!
Here are some quotes from the Bible :
"""Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts. Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more."
Here is another that should have been in the bible but is not !
"Wine, madam, is God's next best gift to man."

If anyone who knew me personally read this thread they would laugh their heads of..
My drinking habit is limited with a couple of glasses of "good" wine which compliments a decent meal..
Apart from that,i do like a beer or two now & again when i am watching TV...I am no regular drinker...

Pyrpolizer, what is it you want to recall from our meetings? the fact that we had a few beers over a social lunch?Does that make us drunks?
For fucks sake what is the purpose of this witch hunt?!!

From various posts in here, I realized there are TOO MANY who write while they are actually drunk!

I personally never drink. And I hate associating with people who drink, and tell all sorts of nonsense laughing for what they don't even understand...

Pyrpolizer, maybe they drink to dull the pain of their Cyprus Problem experiences.

More worrying are those people who spout the rubbish they do whilst sober!

(Present company excluded of course..... )

This being my sixty-second year, I can truthfully say that since I reached the age of discretion I have consistently drunk more than most people would say is good for me. Nor did I regret it. Wine has been for me a firm friend and a wise counsellor. Often...wine has shown me matters in their true perspective, and has, as though by the touch of a magic wand, reduced great disasters to small inconveniences. Wine has lit up for me the pages of literature, and revealed in life romance lurking in the commonplace. Wine has made me bold but not foolish; has induced me to say silly things but not to do them.

Now this is a very good point! Maybe I should post more as the "bar" may not be quite what I thought (doh!)

Here's a drink for everyone - called a "F*ck Me:"

- Fill a shot glass to the line with Kahlua.
- Top off with 151 rum.
- Light it on fire.
- Drink with a plastic straw.

If you drink it too slow, the straw will catch fire, and you're f*cked. If you drink it too fast, you suck in the flames, and you're fucked. This is dangerous and should be consumed with extreme caution. But it'll put a little fuzz on the kiwis...
