How to stop the mozzies bitting

Postby Acorn » Thu Oct 11, 2007 7:14 pm

I have just joined this forum and a regular visitor to Cyprus.
Love to stay in the villages up in the hills away from the Brit colonys and the tourists areas.
Trying to learn Greek but using a mainland greek audio course so my English and Greek accent causes a lot of good natured laughter.
Cyprus is lovely country but I cannot help thinking that it is being spoilt by the Brits and the massive development that is going on.

Anyway .... getting mozzie bites ... try eating Marmite

Cheers

How dare you take my name in vain?

Marmite is excellent and is far superior to such imitations as Vegemite, Cenovis etc.

After an evening out participating in the Greek national sport of eating and drinking the last thing I want to do in the morning is eat Marmite on toast but it does really work for me and I rarely get bitten if I do eat the stuff.

Marmite is Magic!

Mossies apparently follow the smell of the carbon dioxide on your breath. Anything you can do to mask that will help. Marmite is one way or Garlic another. Or stop using deodorant like most Cypriots

If you take a daily dose of Vitamin B complex it does the same as Marmite . . . because that's the active ingredient in Marmite that keeps them away. :D
