As for your other points as far as Safeguards goes, you will have to make a decision, that we as TC's are a Minority or we are a equal Community, and if you choose the latter, there can be no Safeguards, therefore what's good for the Goose will be good for the Gander (GC's and TC's) in any decision makings. We can't have it both ways, otherwise we are back to the same problems of the 60's. Your first concern has to be to your Country, which is Cyprus, if you want to be considered to a Cypriot before you start worrying about Turkey and Greece, regarding trading with them or not. On a practical point, why would Cyprus under normal conditions not trade with Turkey.?? Cyprus as an independent country, a EU member has no desires to be part of Greece, and overwhelming GC's will tell you that, but if it makes the TC's happy to have it in the "New Constitution" and agreed and signed by all, then so be it. One thing you cannot do for eternity, is to hold other peoples property as a ransom, to make sure the "New Constitution" is followed to the letter, because from time to time, Constitution do need to be changed to fit the times of that era. It is a Living and Breathing Document and not a painting on the wall, that just collects dust.
