Don't forget to assess the coastline for the Cycling tour.

You describe everyone as relaxed and hanging around parks and stuff . . . do any of them do any work?

Is the weather the same or is it dark and gloomy? Have they caused more pollution or are they looking after the place well for us until they give it back?

Anyway enjoy your time in Cyprus.

Humanist, like you, the last time I was in Cyprus was in 2000. Unintended on my part, I instigated an argument among some of my more opinionated relatives when I mentioned that I wanted to visit northern Nicosia. To keep the peace, I refrained from going, so as my opportunities to visit CY are limited beyond that which I prefer, I truly enjoyed the summary of your visit. Keep them coming.
