Psychology of GC Towards TC and Turkish Immigrants

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby boomerang » Thu Oct 11, 2007 2:10 pm

the reason we feel this way is because after 400 odd years we accept the tcs as indigenous people of cyprus...well I do anyway...

Thanks Zan. You are accepting the proof that the GCs are the traumatised victims of the Turkish invasion who have been scarred for life and are now more wary of the TCs . . . although still willing to co-exist with them.

As for the Turkish settlers . . . it seems everyone is wary of them.

And the world is fed up with the fact that you do not offer us the same sympathy for the period 1963 to 1974......Funny that

Maybe that's because the two are not equal in magnitude.

How do you equate ethnic cleansing of 200,000 GCs by Turkey, installation of 40,000 Turkish troops to prevent them from returning to their homes. . . with any retaliations enacted against the TCs during the 60's when they were trying to destroy the RoC?

Enosis with Greece was never going to happen. The Cypriots fought hard against it. But, yes it was just a little thing, compared to the cataclysmic overreaction of Turkey to make us victims of the first case of ethnic cleansing since World War II. Of course, you must be a Turk.

Oh yeah, and massacring entire villages only to dump them in mass graves is NOT ethnic cleansing because?

No Im Turkish Cypriot and proud of it, and the "little" word was used in scarcasm but this subtly you would never understand. You fucked up big time with your enosis dream giving Turkey the opportunity to take action to resolve what you have been unable to to do from 1963 to 1974. Since this date all Cypriots have lived peacefully this you cannot deny.

Call yourself what you like . . . but I don't recognise you as having any ties with Cyprus if you continue to endorse Turkey's acts of ethnic cleansing.

I never had an Enosis dream VP and my parents fought against it as did the Cypriots . . .
Hark-on about Enosis all you like since you have a massive chip on your shoulder . . because when you could have PROVED you were a Cypriot and fought against Enosis you sided with Turkey. Hence you are either a TRAITOR TC or a Proud Turk . . . which one? . . . you can't be both.
